The exclusive luxury jewelry line includes three signature necklace styles: the “Luxe” Barbie™ Pendant silhouette, Barbie™ DogTag, and intermingled Barbie “B”’s featured in 18KT white, yellow and rose gold, with brilliant white diamonds, edgy black diamonds or beautiful yellow or pink sapphires. In addition, the line includes the “Classic,” featuring the highest quality sterling silver.

Chunky, chain-style Barbie™ Love Toggle bracelets are available in sterling silver with 18Kt rose gold charms. Barbie™ Rocks by Layna and Alan Friedman has also created a number of jeweled charms for the bracelets, giving each collector the opportunity to show off her unique Barbie® style. The partnership between the Friedmans and Mattel began in 2006, with the creation of a single, custom-made jewelry piece donated as an auction item for Mattel’s annual “Dream Halloween” event to benefit CAAF (Children Affected by AIDS Foundation). The 18KT white gold Barbie™ silhouette pendant, adorned with pink diamonds, was the talk of the benefit and quickly sparked interest from Barbie® lovers of all ages. With Mattel’s blessing, the Friedmans worked tirelessly to create this unique collection. To celebrate Barbie’s 50th Anniversary, Barbie™ Rocks by Layna and Alan Friedman has actively participated in the Barbie Runway show during New York’s Fashion Week as well as Barbie’s Malibu Dream House event in Los Angeles. Barbie™ Rocks by Layna and Alan Friedman will continue to travel with the Barbie Anniversary show to such cities as London, Paris and Las Vegas.

About Children Affected by AIDS Foundation
Worldwide there are more than 40 million people infected with HIV and more than 15 million children orphaned by AIDS. The number of children affected by AIDS in the U.S. alone is currently estimated at nearly 125,000. The Children Affected by AIDS Foundation was founded in Los Angeles in 1993 by Joe Cristina, a Mattel, Inc. executive whose desire to help children was inspired by the outpouring of support he received when he disclosed his own HIV-positive status. The Children Affected by AIDS Foundation is the only organization solely devoted to providing social, educational, recreational and other critical support programs to vulnerable children impacted by HIV/AIDS in the U.S. and other countries. CAAF accomplishes its mission domestically and abroad through four programs including domestic grant making, domestic initiatives, international grant making and international initiatives.
